Supper Club

Over the past year or so I have been gathering with girls that I've known since close to the beginning of motherhood that have been my rocks through this crazy time of life. Our kids are getting bigger but we definitely still lean on each other, even if we don't cross paths as often. Supper Club, as we have titled it, happens about every other month and we each bring a themed dish, wine, or cocktail, and then eat, drink, talk, and apparently now dance, much of the night away.

August saw fresh and local ingredients as the theme so we had some Larriland cantaloupe wrapped in prosciutto for our appetizer, tomatoes and basil from my garden with mozzarella for our salad, orzo with Vanessa's and farmers market veggies for our side, a crusted fish for our entree, and a blueberry tart for our dessert. Everything was amazing, light, and refreshing which complemented our wine and cocktails nicely!

I love these girls and love that we still get together even as our kids make new friends and start new experiences. Julia and Mandy we missed you but will see you next time I hope!
