A few grueling weekends ago, with lots of help from Mom and Dad Hayhoe, we got all moved in to the new house. For those of you who haven't heard, we bought a single family home in Catonsville and went to settlement Friday morning, April 9th. Currently it is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house near our townhouse that actually backs to Patapsco State Park. The house actually will have an extra bedroom and bathroom in the basement someday - the parts are all there but they need a lot of work. So for now, it is a perfect size for us with a master bedroom, Noelle's room, an office, and space for another kid someday.
We are busy getting unpacked and doing projects around the house. So far we have tackled caulking in the bathrooms, demolishing a shelving unit in the garage, and baby proofing with 4 gates. Now that Noelle walks along walls, pulls herself up, and crawls like a champ, gates by the fireplace and around the stairs was definitely a priority! We need to do some painting touch-ups, a lot of yard work, and get a new washer and dryer and then we will be in pretty good shape on the top two floors. The basement, well that is another story, and we'll get there someday!
Noelle and Maddie are doing great in the new house. Well, Noelle has been since the beginning, and Maddie has adjusted. At first she was freaking out thinking we were going to abandon here every second but once our furniture got here and we all hung out on it for a few days she has been doing much better!
Sorry our posting has been slow over the past few months - buying, selling, and moving have taken a ton of time. We will try to post more regularly as we get settled. Here are a few recent pictures!
