Saturday the 18th we bundled up, headed to the city and daddy's parking garage, and walked over to the Arena for the kids' first concert, Fresh Beat Band. Noelle has always been a fan of the Nick Jr show. Kellen is a fan of all music. We missed them last time they were in town so this time we got tickets early, not knowing their popularity has clearly diminished in the last year and we could buy them on certifikid for way less later. Oh well!
We got to the show on time for us, early for the rest of the world apparently, so took some pictures as we got ready for things to get started.
Then things got started. We were in the "cheap seats" so I couldn't get any pictures that were decent of the stage and the singers, especially with my phone, but you can see that Noelle and Kellen, and even Bryan surprisingly, were really enjoying the singing and dancing. Noelle was being shy at first but finally got up from her seat to dance and spin around towards the end of the action.
The concert was pretty short, about 90 minutes including a 15 minute intermission, but it was perfect for their first concert outing. Highlights were when Twist ran up to our section for high fives and then the kids singing and dancing like crazy after the concert as they told us how great each song the Fresh Beats sang at the concert had been.
I guess you could say "It was a great day, the very best day..."
